Rachel Barrett

Rachel Barrett has more than 8 years’ experience in engineering consulting, with additional teaching and research experience in the university sector, where she specialised in water resources engineering and urban water management.

Rachel has worked on various projects across Australia and abroad in the areas of water resources modelling and data analysis, urban demand modelling, catchment hydrology, flood risk analysis, dam break modelling and consequence assessment, dam safety surveillance and risk assessment, and engineering economics.

Rachel has experience in a number of different water models (including Source, FORS, MIKE11, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, RORB and EPA-SWMM), GIS tools (QGIS and ArcGIS), and programming languages (R, Python, MATLAB and VB).
