Suwash joins HARC team as a Hydrologist where he has so far involved on design hydrology, flood modelling, and dambreak risk assessment projects. He is currently finalising his PhD at the University of Melbourne where his research focus is on evaluating global and regional rainfall datasets and developing methodologies for applying those datasets in hydrological modelling and design.
Suwash has experience on applying variety of modelling tools (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, MIKE, TUFLOW, and RORB), programming languages (R and Python), and GIS applications (QGIS and ArcGIS) for hydrological modelling and design, flood forecasting, and assessing impacts of climate change on hydrology.
Prior to moving to Australia, Suwash worked as a Water Resources Engineer in PRECAR Consulting, Nepal, and Research Associate at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He has published more than 5 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at several national and international conferences.
