Yanni Wang

Yanni Wang is a hydrologist and has a keen interest in water resources, flood modelling and urban hydrology. Since joining HARC, Yanni has worked on projects in dam safety risk assessment, including manipulating risk models to analyse inspection and surveillance needs. She has experience in modelling software and programming including TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, QGIS and Python.

Yanni graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2021, with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Architecture (Honours) and was awarded the University Medal as the highest performing student. She has worked on a wide range of projects involving flood mitigation using ARR2019, simulating reservoirs under climate change scenarios, and development of a novel stormwater simulation model to support urban planning.

Whilst studying, Yanni was also involved in tutoring four undergraduate courses on topics relating to water and engineering design.
